Beware the Ides of March

Today in history, so the soothsayer
Predicted, Julius Caesar
Fell on the steps of the Senate
Stabbed 23 times.
So the warmer winds and 
Robins' song portent the 
Coming days, the clock
Turned and twisted at the 
Season's change 
Time gripped and thrown
Forward at our will. 
What man can do 
To bend the arc of 
Tomorrow is held inside
A locked chamber of 
Curiosity, behind canvas
Tent walls where the 
Barker hawks the dreadful
Possibility. All for the
Drop of a coin, all for
The price of a 
Soul -- what man can
Do to bend the 
Arc of tomorrow -- he 
Sets out the shapes 
In darkness
And he sharpens
His blade.
