Thank you so much for your poetry, Elizabeth! It’s a welcome part of these busy days. Makes me stop , enjoy, and think, - of more lofty things than dusting, washing floors, and laundry!

Could I add the word, - ‘gracious ‘ to your list of contributed words, please?

On a different topic, - how are the girls enjoying their second year? Have they decided what they want to go into? I don’t think that Audrey has decided yet, but she is taking Psychology and Brain Science this term. That sounds absolutely fascinating! Kai intends to go into music. He is learning improvisation on the piano, at this point, and doing drums as well. He is also playing in an ensemble. He is writing songs now, both on his own and with Sean. He will begin University next autumn.

Hope everyone is well. Lots of love ,Lois.

Especially love the wordplay here: "Now and then a mangy

pickup tries to eat my tail.

It’s always a surprise to be

hounded out here"!!

Thank you Jessica! It had different words in the first draft but I learned from a really good editor to tweak! XO

Exuding autumn with its relaxed temperatures and early sunsets, this poem articulates how nature is inviting me to be quiet in sync with her during harvest. My Christian name means "harvester."
